Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, in two clicks from “Manage my subscription.” The monthly plan has no minimum term and stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for; the yearly plan, until the end of the year you've already paid for.
Which languages are supported?
Videos in English, French, German, and Italian: the language is detected automatically, and the transcript, titles, hooks, post captions, and on-screen captions are written in the language of the video. Your workspace is available in these four languages too.
How does the loyalty discount work?
On the monthly plan, your price drops by 10% from month 4, by 20% from month 7, and by 30% from month 13. The discount is applied to every invoice automatically and depends on how long your current subscription has been running: if you cancel and come back later, you start again at the base price.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. The methods offered at checkout depend on your country and on what you're buying (subscription or Pack).
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. You get a receipt by email for every payment, and your subscription invoices can be downloaded anytime from “Manage my subscription” (the Pack comes with a receipt). Prices include VAT, so nothing is added at checkout. Need an invoice in your company's name? Just reply to the confirmation email.
Is there a free plan?
No, but you can try the 1-video Pack for €9, with no subscription, before choosing a plan.
Which videos can I upload?
A link (YouTube, Twitch, Kick…) or a video file. You need to own the rights to the content, or have the creator's permission, to clip and republish it.
Do YouTube links work directly?
Not quite: YouTube blocks downloads from servers. In the online version, YouTube videos go through a small program you run on your computer (Windows), the “PC relay” (download it from the “Add a video” page). After that, you paste your links as usual, even from your phone. Without the relay, just upload the video file. Links from Twitch, Kick, and other sites work directly.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. Extraits Pod runs in your browser, on a Mac just like on a PC or your phone, and uploading a video file works everywhere. Only the PC relay for YouTube links gets installed on a computer: it's available for Windows. Without the relay, just upload the video file.
Where are my videos processed?
In the EU: your videos are stored, transcribed, and clipped on our servers in France, and the AI that picks the moments and writes the titles runs there too, with no third-party AI service involved. The sales website is hosted by Vercel and payments go through Stripe. When you publish a clip, it naturally goes to the platform you chose.
How long until my clips are ready?
Usually 1 to 2 hours per hour of video. Videos are processed one at a time, so if others are queued ahead of yours, it takes a little longer. Clips show up in your workspace as soon as they're ready.
When do I get access to my workspace?
Right away: after payment, you create your password and your workspace opens. If anything goes wrong, reply to the confirmation email and we'll sort it out. We'll also help you connect your TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube accounts.
